Can I use Apple Pay at Home Depot?

I recently tried to pay with Apple Pay at Home Depot and it didn’t work. I’m planning a big purchase soon and need to know if they accept Apple Pay or if I need to use a different payment method. Any insights?

Yeah, Home Depot doesn’t accept Apple Pay. I’ve had the same issue when trying to use it there. It seems they still prefer more traditional forms of payment like credit and debit cards directly. If you’re planning a big purchase, you might want to bring along your physical cards or look into other options like PayPal or Samsung Pay if that’s more convenient for you. It’s kind of a bummer that such a major retailer isn’t on board with Apple Pay, given how widely used it is. You’d think they’d get with the program, right?

Totally feel you on this one! I’ve also faced the same struggle at Home Depot with Apple Pay. Interestingly enough, it’s not just Home Depot but several other major retailers too. It’s like stepping back in time! When planning a big purchase, another good option could be purchasing a gift card beforehand. You can buy a Home Depot gift card online using Apple Pay and then just use that gift card for your purchase at the store. It’s a bit of a workaround but may save you the hassle.

Additionally, keep in mind that Home Depot has been steadily expanding their payment options, so it might be worthwhile to check back occasionally. And hey, sometimes calling the store directly before making the trip can confirm any updated payment methods. Worst case, arm yourself with good ol’ plastic, but fingers crossed for you that they’ve upgraded since your last visit!

In the meantime, if you’re doing online shopping, Google Pay is another alternative, though it’s not as comprehensive as Apple Pay. It’s always a good idea to keep multiple payment methods at hand just in case. This isn’t exactly a new problem in retail, but one can hope that Home Depot gets with the times soon!
