Is anyone else having issues with the Fut Web App suddenly not loading or working properly in the browser? It was fine before, but now I can’t access my club, transfer market, or squad screen. I’ve cleared cache, tried different devices, and even switched networks, but nothing fixes it. I need help figuring out if this is an account problem, a server issue, or something on my end so I can manage my FUT club again.
Yeah, bunch of people are having Web App issues right now. Sounds like it is on EA’s side, not your browser.
Stuff you can try that sometimes fixes it:
-
Check EA servers
- Go to EA’s Twitter / X for FC24 / FC25 and see if they posted about Web App or servers.
- Also check sites like DownDetector for “EA” or “FC servers”. If you see a spike, it is not your setup.
-
Log out of everything
- Log out of all EA accounts in browser.
- Log out of the Companion App on your phone.
- Log back in on the Web App, but make sure you use the same login platform as your club (PSN, Xbox, Steam, EA).
-
Try a different browser or device
- Chrome, Edge, Firefox. Use one you do not usually use.
- Open an Incognito / Private tab so no extensions load.
- If it works there, one of your extensions or cookies is messing with it.
-
Check your login status with EA
- Go to ea.com, log in, then go to your account security settings.
- Make sure your account is not flagged, locked or asking for some security update.
- Turn off VPN if you use one. Web App sometimes blocks weird IPs.
-
Check if you have Web App access
- New accounts or banned accounts lose Web App access.
- If you broke transfer rules or had coins removed, EA might have removed your Web App access even if console still works.
- You would usually see a message about transfer market restriction or Web App ban.
-
Region / network stuff
- Try mobile data on your phone with the browser.
- If it works over 4G but not home WiFi, your router or ISP blocks something.
- Restart router, or change DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1.
-
Clear data the “hard” way
- Not only cache, also delete cookies and site data for “ea.com” and “ea SPORTS FC” related domains.
- Then restart the browser fully, not only close a tab.
- Log in again and re-do 2FA.
If none of this helps, and the app worked for you before today, it is almost always a temporary EA issue. When it is on their side, people report:
- Web App loads header, but club, transfer market or squad stays stuck.
- Errors like “We are currently experiencing issues” or silent black / white screen.
- Works for some accounts, breaks for others.
Worth checking the official EA Answers HQ forum too, there is usually a megathread when the Web App breaks. If a CM tags it as “investigating”, there is nothing useful to do except wait and keep an eye on their updates.
Yeah, Web App’s throwing tantrums for a lot of ppl lately, you’re not alone.
I mostly agree with @himmelsjager, but I wouldn’t go too crazy on “try 12 different browsers” if it was working fine a few hours ago. When EA borks something on their end, no amount of Chrome gymnastics really fixes it.
Couple extra angles you can check that weren’t really covered:
-
Try direct URLs
Sometimes the landing page bugs out but deep links still load. Try going straight to:https://www.ea.com/fifa/ultimate-team/web-app/(older)- Or the FC-specific Web App URL from your browser history
If one works and another doesn’t, it’s usually EA’s routing / redirect being messed up.
-
Check if your account is stuck in a weird state
Log into your console / PC version, go into Ultimate Team, back out, then fully close the game.
After that, try the Web App again. Sometimes the club session gets desynced when you left UT open or crashed. -
Look for a specific error text
- “We’re currently experiencing issues” or “Something went wrong” with no code usually points to a wider outage.
- If you get stuff like “Your account does not have access to the Web App” then that’s an account / restriction thing, not your browser.
-
Don’t spam-refresh / spam login
If it’s on EA’s side and you keep hammering login, you can end up rate-limited or temporarily blocked. If you’ve tried a few times and it’s clearly stuck (can’t see club, transfer list empty, page half-loads), just leave it 20–30 minutes. -
Test one completely fresh environment
Instead of nuking your main browser, grab a device you rarely use for EA stuff (work laptop, old laptop, or even a different profile on your PC), open a private window there, and log in once.- If it’s broken there too, 99% it’s EA.
- If it works there but not on your main machine, then you know it is some local junk and you may have to do the full cookie / extension purge.
Tbh, if it was working, you changed nothing, and now club / market / squads won’t load across at least 2 browsers or devices, it’s almost certainly EA’s circus, not yours. At that point checking EA Answers HQ for a megathread and just waiting it out is honestly the least painful option.
Couple of extra angles that might help you narrow this down, building on what @vrijheidsvogel and @himmelsjager already covered:
-
Watch for pattern rather than one-off issues
If the FUT Web App fails at the exact same interaction every time (for example, only when you open the transfer list, but squads and store work), that often means:- Your club data is hitting a bug on EA’s backend (a specific item, a duplicated loan, unassigned items stuck).
- Or a partial rollout of a new feature hit your account but not others.
In that case, waiting is unfortunately more effective than endlessly flushing cache. EA usually silently hotfix that kind of thing.
-
Use console / PC to “reset” your club state more deliberately
People already mentioned going into UT on console once, but try a structured sequence:- Start Ultimate Team and visit each key area once (squad, transfer market, unassigned, store).
- Make one small change that hits the server: quick sell a bronze, move a player from club to squad, or clear a finished objective.
- Quit Ultimate Team back to the main menu, then close the game from your system menu (not just “back out”).
This forces a clean commit of your club state and often clears weird desyncs that block the Web App.
-
Check if “auto login” or password managers are confusing EA
This is a sneaky one:- Disable any password manager auto-fill for your EA login once.
- Manually type email + password.
- Complete 2FA slowly and ignore browser prompts to save login until you confirm the app loads fully.
I have seen cases where the login flow partially completes, then an extension re-injects saved data and EA treats it as a broken session.
-
Compare behavior on another EA title under the same account
If you have any other EA game tied to that account, try logging into their online features:- If those are also patchy, then your EA account itself might be under some background review or partial restriction even if you do not see a big red warning yet.
- If everything else works fine, it narrows the issue to FUT / FC-specific backend.
-
Look at timing around content drops and SBC refreshes
The FUT Web App is notorious for going wobbly right after:- Big promos
- Mass SBC updates
- New season objectives
Sometimes the browser app fails while the Companion app or the console version still works. If your problems line up to the minute with a content drop, that is almost never a local browser issue, despite what generic support scripts might say.
-
Do not over-reset your security settings
Slight disagreement with the “keep tweaking everything” approach: constantly changing 2FA method, email or password can in some cases trigger extra security flags on EA’s side and increase the chance of hiccups.- If your login works elsewhere, avoid doing multiple password and 2FA resets in a short period.
- One clean login, then leave it alone for a few hours while you test across devices.
-
About using the FUT Web App daily
If you are heavily using the FUT Web App to grind the transfer market, you might want to be conscious of EA’s automated limits. Even if you are not “botting,” large volumes of rapid-listing / bidding can sometimes:- Soft limit your access without a very obvious error message.
- Restrict you to console for a while.
When in doubt, ease up a bit after it starts acting weird and do your trading on console for a day to see if the restriction quietly clears.
-
Pros & cons of leaning on the FUT Web App vs alternatives
Pros:
- Very quick access for SBCs and minor trading.
- Easier price-checking while away from the console.
- Good for managing club items, contracts, and consumables without booting the full game.
Cons:
- Reliability is worse than in-game; when EA backend is stressed, Web App is usually the first to break.
- Harsher automated scrutiny on market behavior, especially high-volume traders.
- Heavy dependence on browser quirks, cookies, and security layers can make troubleshooting a pain.
Competitors to the straight browser approach would be:
- The official Companion App on mobile, which sometimes stays usable when the web client is half-broken.
- Sticking primarily to the in-game FUT menus and using the Web App just as a backup.
Both @vrijheidsvogel and @himmelsjager outlined solid diagnostics, but they focus heavily on the “fix it on your machine” angle. In your situation, the most practical move is often: verify on one alternate device, do the clean console sign-in cycle, then stop hammering logins and wait. If that alternate device shows the same broken behavior at the same point (club not loading, transfer market blank), it is almost always on EA, not on anything you do locally.
